History

Advanced Engineering Solutions, Inc. (AESI) was founded in 1995 by Mr. Daklak Do, Mr. William DeMarco & Mr. William Haws. Mr. Do, the remaining founding partner, was inspired to open a tool manufacturing facility after working for several years as a tooling and sound engineer with Masland Industries, later bought by Lear Corporation, and Amtex.

The first 5,000 ft2 facility was in Monroe, Ohio (30 miles north of Cincinnati). The core business was the manufacture of aluminum compression molding tools, specifically for the molding of automotive interior carpet trim. The business expanded to include fixtures, gages and automated assembly equipment which accompanies the molding tools.

With experience and strong business growth, the company expanded to the second facility, located in Middletown, Ohio. This facility, 12,000 ft2 in size, allowed for additional growth and additional capital equipment. In this facility, a carpet molding manufacturing cell was installed so that customers could buy off tools before shipment to the final destination. With this model of “one-stop” tool shopping, the business expanded and AESI needed to expand again.

In April of 2000, AESI moved to its current location in Springboro, Ohio. In the 60,000 ft2 facility, additional capital equipment was purchased for inspecting and machining molds and fixtures, a full service compression forming line was also installed & a full design center was installed. The customers’ experience is truly a one-stop facility as they follow the tooling from design through prototype trial on the manufacturing floor. In most cases, the customers of AESI manufacture their first pre-production parts off of AESI equipment.

Advanced Engineering’s continued expansions allow them to keep abreast of new advances in technologies and market trends. Our Minority certification continues to allow our customers to meet expectations of their customers today and into the future.
